Bella Cucina Café Closes, Chef Lisa Hines Joins Forces with Vin Antico
(San Rafael, CA) -- After eight years, Lisa Hines (aka: “The Food Fashionista”) of Bella Cucina Catering, has closed the doors to her shop on Fourth Street in San Rafael. But Marinites unable to cope with the notion of losing her warm and delicious signature panini sandwiches need not worry!
Chef Hines is now the consultant to Rick Cunningham, executive chef at Vin Antico (also on Fourth Street). And on November 6, 2007, Rick will feature a selection of the much-craved Bella Cucina panini, as well as pizzas, salads, and entrees from 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. He will also offer “Panini-a-Presto,” a lunch box to-go with a panini sandwich, pasta salad, biscotti and drink for $9.99. (Vin Antico is open for lunch on Tuesday - Friday, and for dinner Tuesday - Sunday. They are closed Monday. They are located at 881 Fourth Street, 415.454.4492.)
Collaborating with Vin Antico’s owner Kerri Cerrundolo, Chef Hines is developing a top-secret food-inspired project in the swanky upstairs of Vin Antico. Her new concept – slated for unveiling in 2008 – is aimed at hip and irreverent food and drink lovers in Marin and San Francisco.
Former sous chef at restaurant Lulu in San Francisco and private chef for (the) Charles Schwab, Chef Hines – “The Food Fashionista” - has recently been featured in the Marin Independent Journal, Marin Magazine, and on TasteTV and ABC’s The View from the Bay. She has a new blog (the one you're reading right now!) at www.notforkidsonly.blogspot.com aimed at Bay Area parents seeking some inspiration in the kitchen.
